Dry Pack Canner and Sealer Available

A dry pack canner and a mylar bag sealer are available for check out from the Stake Relief Society.  Now you can create your own food storage with these great pieces of machinery.  Call and schedule a time.

The Department of Workforce Services continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, under the direction of the Governor’s Office. You will find information and resources regarding unemployment, child care and assistance programs.  Check back frequently as programs and services are updated.

Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) and the Federal Home Loan Banks are taking steps to help people who have been impacted by the coronavirus.

The company will work with customers who are impacted economically by COVID-19 by waiving late fees and providing payment plans as needed.

Individuals or families may use the Self-Reliance Plan form on their own or with the assistance of a mentor. The form helps assess needs, income, and expenses, identify available resources, identify service opportunities, and develop specific objectives to becoming more self-reliant.

Self-reliance is the “ability, commitment, and effort to provide the spiritual and temporal necessities of life for self and family. Stake-Sponsored Self-Reliance Groups

The Pleasant Grove East Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offers Self-Reliance groups. Groups are offered at various times throughout the year. Course curriculum is studied in a facilitated group setting once a week for 12-week cycles. Register for an upcoming group and the next kickoff devotional.

Stake Center Cultural Hall from 3:00 - 4:00 PM. All are invited to attend. Come and learn about the areas of self-reliance to choose from including personal finance, retirement and senior mission planning, business, education and employment. Groups are formed and meet for 12 weeks to learn, discuss and complete objectives.

Laurels, priests, come and learn about 3 areas of self-reliance life skills, including communications, study and career planning, and creating a budget. Small groups are formed and meet to learn and discuss Build friendships, and improve both temporally and spiritually!

Emotional Resilience

If you would like greater social/emotional/mental health and resiliency, come join this new self-reliance group!  We are joining other select stakes across US/Canada to pilot this exciting new group.  Learn more about dealing with anxiety, anger, depression, developing healthy thinking patterns and relationships, and more. Come to our devotional on January 12th and join the Emotional Resilience group!  PLEASE NOTE, this Emotional Resilience course is a pilot course and the number of people who will be able to participate is limited. We have 12 manuals available for participants. Couples could share a manual. If we are unable to accommodate everyone who is interested, you will be welcome to participate in a different course or wait and participate when this course is offered again in the future... which we expect it will be.
