Stake-Sponsored Self-Reliance Groups
The Goshen Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now offers Self-Reliance groups. Groups are offered at various times throughout the year. Course curriculum is studied in a facilitated group setting once a week for 12-week cycles. See the upcoming event schedule for the next kickoff devotional or other related events.
Two weeks after the class, I got a job offer. I wasn’t out of a job, but I got a job offer closer to where I’m moving. And the skills I learned have helped me and because I was faithful and diligent in the class Heavenly Father is helping me and blessing me! I may not get the job but Heavenly Father is blessing me with the opportunity to use the skills I leaned and to practice and act on Faith!
My testimony is always growing and constantly increasing the love I have for others. I know that the leadership of our Ward and Stake are humble inspired people. I know that President Nelson is the Prophet and that God has called President Eyering and President Oaks as well as the Quorum of the Twelve to direct the affairs of His Church on the earth at this time. None of this has changed it has just grown like a seed grows first into a seedling, but I am a long way from the mature tree He expects me to be. This class has opened my eyes to the servant I can be. I need to keep my eye on the goal and work through the days as they unfold before me. My wife and family ore first but the world is in need of all that I can do. Whatever I have I need to give to others.
