"I loved my experience in the self reliance class that I took. My proctor was amazing, and really strived hard to bring the spirit into each of our lessons. I learned really important skills that I can apply into my life. I made friendships with people that I wouldn’t have otherwise met. I know that I have become more self reliant because I took this class. I would strongly recommend this class to any one who wants to become more self reliant but doesn’t know where to start. The class I took is a great starting point. I’m so grateful that this class was available and I was able to take it. It was a wonderful experience."
"The Starting and Growing My Business self reliance class was just what I needed to help kickstart my ideas for my business and harness all that energy in the right direction. I loved the interaction and accountability that we had in class, and I am underway with making my business a reality."
"This class far exceeded our expectations! There were very clear directions on a variety of topics. It’s specifically addressed many of our needs. We highly recommend this class to every parent!"

"I attended the first day of the self-reliance course intending to sign up for a specific class. As we met all together the classes were described to us. We were instructed to ponder and pray to know which class we should take. I was surprised to feel strongly, that I should take the Education For Better Work course.
Every week I felt a prompting to quit my job. I enjoyed my job and didn’t understand why I should quit, but each week I felt the same prompting. I noticed that many that were in my class were receiving promptings of their own. There were some that did not finish the course because they immediately followed their own promptings and joined the program or went on the mission they were prompted to go on. I enjoyed the opportunity to talk about the promptings we were getting with my group and enjoyed the friendships I made. There were many topics I did not expect to learn about and found many lessons important in my future endeavors."

(continued) "I left the class with more knowledge and more importantly a new direction for my life. I did quit my job and started working on the program I was prompted to begin. It was months later before I understood the reasons for the change. I am grateful that my Heavenly Father would help me and guide me to be prepared for the future. It was interesting to me that the topics we discussed were exactly what I needed in a subject I did not yet know I needed.
It will bless you to prayerfully ponder the course you should take. If you do and if you follow the promptings of the Spirit, you will become prepared for the future and more self-reliant. "

“Before taking the self-reliance: starting your business class, I was skeptical of it being too 'churchy' and less practical. I’m very serious about my business and don’t like wasting time of 'fluff.' I was pleasantly surprised to learn (even after the first class) so many valuable skills and systems to implement in my business right away.
In 12 weeks I was able to take a new business idea into this class and create a game plan to implement and execute it. The results have been incredible, way better than I ever could’ve done alone.
It was a helpful resource to have the manual to discuss relevant topics, a group to be accountable to, to hear the struggles of other class members and share triumphs in our own businesses each week.
If you’re on the fence about joining this class, to see if this is for you, just go to the first class. You’ll know right away if you could benefit from it."
"I wouldn't have said our marriage was in trouble, but there were some things I wanted to work on personally to enrich it. I went in 100% to work on me, in fact my husband didn't even attend it with me, but it has made a world of difference. The facilitators were always prepared for a great group discussion. The discussion was where I learned so much. Anyone can read the manual, but the group discussion was what hit home for me. I implemented the strategies I learned, but more importantly I had the Spirit with me as I made an effort to be a better wife. Our marriage has been even better since this! Everyone should take this class whether you think you need it or not."
