Build Your Self-Reliance Plan

Individuals or families may use the Self-Reliance Plan form on their own or with the assistance of a mentor. The form helps assess needs, income, and expenses, identify available resources, identify service opportunities, and develop specific objectives to becoming more self-reliant.

Self-Reliance Initiative

Self-reliance is the “ability, commitment, and effort to provide the spiritual and temporal necessities of life for self and family. As members become self-reliant, they are also better able to serve and care for others.”  Join a group sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in your area.  See upcoming groups.

Stake-Sponsored Self-Reliance Groups

The Lehi Cedar Hollow Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now offers Self-Reliance groups. Groups are offered at various times throughout the year. Course curriculum is studied in a facilitated group setting once a week for 12-week cycles. Register for an upcoming group and the next kickoff devotional.

Self-Reliance Initiative Devotional

This fall's self-reliance devotional will be held virtually via Zoom, with Stake President Sloan as a featured speaker. All are invited to attend. Come and learn about the Church's Self-Reliance Initiative, and choose to join a self-reliance group in either emotional resilience, personal finance, starting and growing a business, finding a better job, or education for better work. Small groups are formed and meet weekly for 12 weeks to learn, discuss, complete weekly commitments together, become friends, and make lasting changes both temporally and spiritually!

Life Skills for Self-Reliance (Youth/YSA's Summer Groups)

All youth/YSA members 17-30 are invited to participate in self-reliance courses this summer with three other nearby stakes. 4-week self-reliance courses will be held in June and July that will focus on one of three self-reliance groups - Education, Finding a Better Job, and Personal Finance.
