Welcome

Sponsored by the Cedar Hills and Cedar Hills West Stakes

“We are surrounded by those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness. … We are the Lord’s hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us.” (Thomas S. Monson).

The Self Reliance, Welfare and Ministering programs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are to care for those in need, while teaching principles which promote self-reliance and self-respect. We can better Minister to others when we are informed, attentive and have the necessary tools to engage and interact with one another. Our goal is to provide a place for information, resources and tools to bless the lives of those who surround us as friends, neighbors and family.

In our role as Stake Presidencies, we welcome you to this site, knowing it will bless you, your family, and our community. We are very blessed to live in Cedar Hills, Utah, where we are surrounded by incredible physical beauty and amazing people! The purpose of this site is to help us as individuals and as a community become and remain self-reliant in the areas of: health, education, employment, home preparedness, financial stability and spiritual strength. We recognize how interrelated our physical and spiritual needs are and we invite you to join us in becoming more self-reliant.

Sincerely,
The Cedar Hills Stake & Cedar Hills West Stake Presidencies

Use Your Talents to Help A Neighbor

Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, Young Women General President taught, "some of the most significant needs we can meet are within our own families, among our friends, in our wards, and in our communities...Heavenly Father may have placed those who need us closest to us, knowing that we are best suited to meet their needs." Contact your local Stake Self-Reliance Committee, your Church leaders or community organization and let them know you are ready to use your talents to serve.
